Walton Park in Sale held a miniature railway festival over the weekend, with the weather so good it brought in hundreds of people who had a great time.

Sadly this park has a darker side and this year it has been without any doubts the worst year for anti-social behaviour, drug offences and now a sexual assault.

A 17-year-old boy from Chorlton has been charged after a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on Sept 10 at around 7.40am.

The male offender was charged with sexual assault and appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates court yesterday Sept 12.
