Halloween night is one for celebration and fun, trick and treating and all things spooky, but this halloween will be about the asteroid that will come five times the distance of the moon and is said by experts to safely pass the earth.

The asteroid was discovered on Oct 13 by observers at the Mount Lemmon Survey which is NASA funded in Tucson in Arizona USA

Asteroid TB57 is very small in size, experts say it is between 16 and 36 metres in size.

It is not known at this time what time today the asteroid will go past us but this is a very close call and gladly we have an early warning system in place for any big ones that threaten the earth.

It is thought this is how the dinosaurs were wiped out after a huge asteroid killed them all, this could happen again, however we have the technology to keep us safe from such things and the only real danger to the earth is mankind.
