Ex Altrincham Conservative councillor Matthew Joseph Sephton aged 41 is in court for the second day for having sick images of child abuse on his gadgets such as smartphones and laptops which he has since denied, claiming the images were on his gadgets because of a friend he met in Manchester named only as Tom.
The trial started yesterday January 22nd at Minshull Street Crown Court at court number 6, where Sephton will have to go to a third day at the same court.
He was arrested by NCA (National Crime Agency) in 2016 and since then has been suspended by the school he used to teach at in Stockport, he was also suspended by the Trafford Tories and can now been seen on the Trafford Council website as being an independent.
It was found that Sephton had taken to the internet and joined groups on Facebook and WhatsApp to share and save images.
Sephton will return to court tomorrow.
