Forest Gate Primary School in Partington could get a new astro turf pitch soon

Forrest Gate Primary School in Partington which is situated just off Lock Lane has plans to change the playing surface at the front of the school from grass to a high quality astro pitch.

At this time the school are claiming that the current grass pitch gets waterlogged and is not fit for many months of the year, the new pitch will also serve the community although at this time to be able to use this new astro pitch you will need to be with a school or club.

The pitch will be suitable for 7 a side at its maximum, this is not a full-sized pitch like what Partington already has next to the sports centre which is better suited for football.

We are aware this new pitch will be surrounded by good quality fencing although will need to be fairly high.

The school itself will be unaffected as the pitch will replace the grass one at the front.

All residents that surrounds the school have  been contacted about the plans which is expected to be passed this week at Trafford Council Planning.
