A man in his 70’s has died following a collision in Davyhulme.
The elderly man was driving a blue Toyota Aygo when it collided with a red Ford Transit van close to the junction of Davyhulme Road and Pleasant Drive shortly after 4pm on November 24.
Whilst the elderly man was being treated in an ambulance, the man fell ill and was taken to hospital, sadly he passed away yesterday November 27.
The driver of the van sustained no injuries in the collision and police are appealing for information.
Police Constable Phil Shaw of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “This is a very sad incident and our thoughts are with the man’s family at this very difficult moment.
“We’re attempting to build a clearer picture of the circumstances leading up to this collision so we can give the man’s family the answers they deserve.
