A Partington man was in Manchester Crown Court today and denied he murdered the 4 month old boy.
Police were called on September 12th after they got reports of a baby being found unconscious at the address in Partington.
Samuel Gildea aged 30 of Woodruff Walk in Partington was initially charged with section 20 assault on September 14th after appearing at Manchester Magistrates Court, following this the charge was then changed to murder after the 4-month old boy sadly died.
A 25-year-old woman was also arrested but was released without charge.
Gildea appeared at Manchester Crown Court today November 30th in court 12 where he pleaded not guilty, he will be back in court in early 2019.
