Weather warnings issued as Storm Hannah approaches the UK

Weather Warnings are in place as Storm Hannah approaches the UK and Ireland.

The storm will hit the southern edge of Ireland tomorrow and will then move east over the rest of the UK on Saturday morning.

Winds of over 70mph expected for Southern Ireland, but will weaken as it comes towards the rest of the UK on Saturday morning, although weather warnings are in force for SW england.

Over the next couple of days though Manchester will see sunshine and hefty showers, with some thunder and lightening mixed in, and as Storm Hannah arrives the winds will pick up gusting to around 30mph.

Sunday will be the best day of the weekend with longer spells of sunshine and turning warmer.
