Police arrest two men after five cars were stolen in a robbery at Evans Halshaw in Altrincham

Police investigating the theft of five vehicles from a car dealership in Trafford have arrested two men.

The men, who are both in their 20s, were arrested in the Preston area and have been released under investigation.

Police have also recovered two of the stolen vehicles.

Shortly after 7.45am on Monday 27 May 2019, police were called to reports of a burglary at Evans Halshaw on Manchester Road, Altrincham.

A man had forced entry to the premises on Sunday 26 May 2019 before stealing a number of car keys.

Just after 2am on Monday 27 May 2019 a group of around 10 offenders returned and stole five cars by using a vehicle to ram through a perimeter wall.

The three stolen vehicles which police are trying to trace are:

  • GF62 WEP Ford Focus in silver.
  • MH68 EOU Ford Fiesta in silver.
  • MJ19 OEX Ford Fiesta in white.
