Sadly we got a message through last night 3 April 2020 that he has now been hit by the second wave of this bug which we believe is the COVID-19.

He has spoken to staff on the 111 number and has been advised to stay at home for another week where we expect him to make a full recovery with the support of his wife, family and friends.

Your support for Wayne would make a huge difference to him, you can leave your best wishes on our Facebook group, Twitter feed or by using the email box below, every message will be given to him as he fights the virus.

His message to everyone in Trafford is simply to stay at home and if you have to go out distance yourself from people.

It is thought Wayne got the bug after helping out Coronavirus victims in the community.
