Actor John Saxon who starred with Bruce Lee in the film Enter the Dragon has died aged 83

The actor who will be best remembered starring alongside Martial Arts legend Bruce Lee died in Tennessee USA on 25 July 2020.

Saxon starred in many films in his time as an actor, appearing in films A nightmare on elm street and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3, Beverley Hills Cop 3, and From Dusk till Dawn alongside George Clooney as FBI agent Stanley Chase.

He will be best remembered though starring alongside Bruce Lee in the 1973 film ‘Enter the Dragon’ his name in the film was a guy called Roper, the film was a world wide box office hit earning Warner International $350m the budget for the entire film was just $850,000.

John Saxon also starred on the small screen starring in The A-Team, Magnum PI, Murder she wrote, Hawaii Five-O, Quincy ME, Wonder Woman, Starsky and Hutch, The Bionic Woman and The Six Million Dollar man.

Saxon was heavily into Martial Arts and studied Judo and Karate so his time with Bruce Lee must have been something very special.

He passed away yesterday from pneumonia.
