MBNL who install masts for EE and the Three network have put in an application to install a 20 metre 5G mast on Manchester Road in Carrington.
Ward councillors have been given letters about the new mast in May! none of them replied so expect no objections.
The mast will be seen for miles around with nothing other than industry around it, it will look more like a rocket on a launch pad!
Interestingly though the application comes with it ICNIRP guidelines for 1999 and not the new set of guidelines which actually deals with 5G frequencies, this is misleading information and should be taken seriously by the council and ward councillors.
They need to see 2020 guidelines which you can find here: https://www.icnirp.org/cms/upload/publications/ICNIRPrfgdl2020.pdf
The site has already a mobile phone mast and has since been recently upgraded so it could be two masts will be at the site.
