Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has been handed a 21 month and 10 day suspended prison sentence in Greece.
Maguire aged 27 was found guilty by a judge in Greece of assault and bribery, it is also claimed he resisted arrest.
Manchester United are it is claimed appealing his suspended sentence and possible fine after Maguire insists he is innocent.
From video footage seen it seems that he got caught up with rival fans and it seems something was injected into his sisters arm, reports say that she fainted and a taxi was called to take her to the hospital however the driver took her to the local police station although we cannot verify that as true.
A suspended sentence means he does not have to serve time in jail, however the sentence will leave a black mark on his name which he needs to remove.
Former Manchester United player Clayton Blackmore has said on a recent interview “Players need to watch where they go, best to choose carefully where you go on holiday so its more quiet.”
