Homeless House charity has launched its Christmas ‘SHE’ Wellness Box campaign to provide much needed comfort and care for women living in poverty.
The charity is asking the local community to provide shoeboxes filled with personal care products for women including make-up, nail polish, moisturisers, perfume, safety alarms, simple jewellery, books and hair accessories etc. The drop off point for filled shoeboxes in Trafford is Altrincham Golf Course.
Antonia Gough, Founder, Homeless House charity says: “Women continue to have higher rates of poverty than men and are often unable to afford the things we take for granted. Our ‘SHE’ wellness box stands for Strength, Happiness and Each other.”
Paul Murray, General Manager, Trafford Leisure’s Altrincham Golf Course says: “We are committed to supporting the most vulnerable in our community. The SHE wellness boxes are an amazing way of spreading seasonal cheer to women who don’t have the luxury of self-care and wellness.”
Your donated SHE wellness shoeboxes can be dropped off at the Altrincham Golf Course Driving Range between 8am – 6pm from the 8th December to the 21st December, where the team at Homeless House will decorate and wrap the shoeboxes and distribute to those in need.
Antonia Gough says: “Through collaborating with local companies such as Trafford Leisure and our sponsors, The Glambassadors, Ladymanc, we hope to show as many women as possible that they are not forgotten about this festive period.
