Police appeal for information after a large rock was dropped onto a car from a bridge on the M60 in Sale

Police are appealing for information after a large rock was thrown from a footbridge that goes across the M60 at Sale Water Park on 21/07/21 at around 12.30pm.

The rock hit a car on the fast lane of the M60 shattering the windscreen, the 28-yea-old female driver managed to gain control of her car and was fortunately not injured.

No other vehicles were involved.

Police checked CCTV and saw a group of 4 men walking towards the bridge before the offence took place, then later two people on bikes are seen on the bridge

The two groups of people seen may have information about this serious incident and are encouraged to come forward to identify the offender who threw the large rock that could have killed the driver or killed others.
