New Bridge Over The Bridgewater Canal Approved

Trafford planning last night Aug 11 gave the green light for a new bridge over the Bridgewater Canal in between Timperley and Broadheath.

Whilst work due to start this winter is ongoing diversions will be in place, it is not known the length of time it will take.

Amey tells us that an external contractor will be appointed to build the bridge which will help people going to and from Altrincham via Navigation Road.

This route will be designed for cycling in mind, taking them off the very dangerous and often polluted A56.
