On October 12 at around 3.30 pm a 11-year-old boy was approached on Hale Road outside of St Ambrose College by a male in a flat bed style van, the male spoke to the boy through the drivers window and said to him ‘GET IN THE VAN’.
The male is described as Black, aged in his 30’s, dark hair, with rotten/missing teeth, driving a Flat Bed style van.
Police are investigating this incident and enquiries are being made.
High Visibility patrols have been put in place around the local area and more attention will be given schools in the area.
Police are also warning parents to be mindful when dropping off your children at school and warn them to keep alert if walking home alone.
