Yesterday Oct 25 two males were knocking on doors on Catterick Ave claiming to be from the charity Barnardos.

The alarm was called by a resident after they asked her for bank details.
Both males were described as white, and dressed well, one had glasses on.
Police contacted the charity and it was then confirmed that they were bogus as the charity did not have any workers in the area yesterday.
The advice is never do any business at your door, no matter how convincing they may be, a good number of genuine charity workers are always in Sale centre or other places.
You could even go into the charity shop and get information on how to donate, or look online using an official website address.
