Film critic Barry Norman who presented BBC shows about the latest films has sadly died aged 83.

Barry was born in London on 21st Aug 1033 made many episodes of the show which was simply entitled with ‘Film’ and then the year, he presented it from 1977 to 1988.
He first started his career in Journalism with the Kensington Post, he then found himself in South Africa working with the star in Johannesburg, he was also a columnist for UK papers ‘Guardian and Observer’, but he will be best remembered for his BBC show.
The film critic also gained a CBE for his services and won a BAFTA in 1981.
Barry died in his sleep at his home in London on June 30,
