Man aged 80 robbed in his home in Flixton

A man was robbed and badly hurt in his home in Flixton.

Shortly before 9pm on Aug 9 police were called to Acregate, Flixton, to reports of a robbery.

Two men forced their way inside the property and threatened a man with a machete before stealing cash and fleeing the scene.

An 80-year-old man suffered multiple injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
