Man charged with the murder of a young dad in Sale Moor

A man has been charged in connection with a murder in Sale.

Tyrone Patrick (29/07/85) of Haydock Close, Streford has been charged with murder.

He remains in custody and is due to appear at Manchester City Magistrates Court on Tuesday 19 September 2017.

On July 20, police were called to Royton Avenue in Sale Moor to reports that a mad had been stabbed.

Officers attended and found 34-year-old, Mike Grimshaw, with a stab wound to his neck.

First aid was administered by officers at the scene before he was taken to hospital where he sadly died.

The 54-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of harbouring an offender, have now been released under investigation.
