Emergency services are on the scene tonight after a multiple car collision occurred at or near Carrington anti-clockwise JNC 8 and 9, at around 7.30pm.

Highways England have now opened up all lanes of the motorway as recovery and clean up has now completed, they thanked everyone for their patience.

We expect traffic will still be heavy around this area for a while.
