Police release CCTV image of a woman who they wish to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery in Sale

Police have released a CCTV image of a woman they wish to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery at a bank in Sale.

At around 4.30pm on September 7th, a woman approached the counter at the RBS bank on the Mall and passed a threatening note to the cashier before demanding cash.

When the cashier told the woman that she could not access the cash storage areas, the offender fled the scene.

Detectives investigating the incident now released CCTV image of a woman they wish to speak to.

Detective constable Steve Mattihias of GMP’s Trafford Borough said: “Although some time has passed since this incident took place, we have released this image in the hope that somebody will be able to recognise this woman.

“We are keen to speak to her and would ask anybody who recognises her to contact police.”
