Canopy fire at Slug and Lettuce in Sale this afternoon

Smoke was seen billowing out of the Slug and Lettuce on Sale Waterside this afternoon, emergency services came shortly after, but the fire to a canopy had already been extinguished.

No one was hurt in the fire and no one that we could see was evacuated.

The circumstances as to how this canopy was set on fire has not been fully established and will update more when it is known.
