Trafford MV take a time out and reach out to ex MV players

If you are one of the players in the photograph, you are invited to come down to the club on 21st October.

With a rest week under their belt MV will be fielding a strong side as they look to take maximum points from their home fixture against bottom placed Barrow-in-Furness side Hawcoat Park. MV received a boost during their week off when their rivals Littleborough were hit with a points deduction resulting from a poor Club disciplinary record in recent seasons, this saw MV move up to 11th place above Burnley as well as the teams already mentioned and level on points with Eccles. With 2 wins on the trot MV will be confident of success and with a run of potentially winnable games coming up confidence will be a huge asset.

There will be a good home crowd at MacPherson Park this week as MV Former Players gather for their Autumn reunion. The Club are inviting any Old Boys who may be reading this article to join us for a buffet at 1.00pm and to watch the days rugby while catching up on old times.

The fixture against Hawcoat Park kicks off at 3.00pm. Admission to MV’s home games is free and the Club welcomes the support of the local community as they compete in a very competitive league with some excellent and exciting Rugby being played.
