Michael Carrick last game was the 4-1 win in the league cup vs Burton, he explains he had a funny turn in the second half of the game, he was on the bench for the next league game, but did not get a game.

Carrick went for a series of tests, and doctors found he had a irregular heart rhythm and had a procedure called Cardiac Ablation.

The procedure is minimally invasive and is used to remove a faulty electrical pathway from sections of the heart, if nothing was done it would cause cardiac arrest.

As he is at the worlds richest football club, he will have the best treatment available and is expected to be playing football again very soon, the player gave his fans a re-assuring tweet that all is well.
