It was just last night we got word that a rather special aircraft was due to land at Manchester Airport on Dec 1st and so it did, the Russian built heavy military transporter aircraft landed just after 11am.
It delighted the many aviation fans at the airport, with fingers at the ready, hands on the many different cameras, waiting to get that picture, and it did not disappoint, with its huge blades, and a wingspan of 64.4m thats a whopping 211 ft! it roared in to Manchester.
It was not the only star on show as a Lufthansa 747 was at Manchester, both aircraft took to the skies and came over Trafford.
