An elderly man has dies after a collision in Hale
On December 3 at around 7pm a blue Honda Jazz was being driven on Hale Road towards the M56, the car which was driven by an 85-year-old woman and had a 95-year-old passenger then collided with a stationary blue Jeep Cherokee near to Graysands Road.
Both were taken to Wythenshawe Hospital to be treated for their injuries and were released later that evening, sadly the man;s condition deteriorated and sadly passed away on the 7th of December.
Officers from GMP’s Serious Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses and anyone who has dash-cam footage.
Sergeant Jon McColl said: “Specially trained officers continue to support the man’s loved ones through this heart-breaking time.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw this collision take place or saw the Honda before the incident.
“At first, you might not have necessarily spoken to police because you might not have known how serious the collision was.
“If that’s the case, or you have any information about it, then please get in touch as soon as possible.”
