A rugby player has been locked up after he decided to do more than 100mph in his car, he ended up crashing his Mercedes into a wall.
The man named as Scott Moore aged 30 from Lowton was going towards Liverpool at around 4am on Oct 14 2016 when police decided to pull him over as he was driving badly, Moore then tried to get away from police, a pursuit then commenced at crazy speeds on East Lancashire Road, the car came to a stop when he smashed his Mercedes into a wall of a housing estate in Leigh.
They tasered him several times to little effect, police are quoted saying that they were all terrified of this man, police took him down many times, his strength and determination to attack officers continued as he kept getting back up, they tasered him for seventh time and he fell to the ground and was then detained.
Moore pleaded guilty at Bolton Crown Court on March 6th to driving dangerously and three counts of assault and was jailed for 1 year and 11 months.
