It was no April fools joke as the staff at the Brooklands Co-operative food store on Washway Road in Sale opened up and got ready for trade, shortly after they were robbed.
We are told no one was hurt during the incident although an extinguisher was used at some point.
The men robbed cigarettes and money from the tills, as a result a security guard has been placed within the store.
This store has been hit many times and fortunately we believe no one has ever been hurt although one member of staff recently resigned partly because of it.
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
