Claremont House care home on Washway Road in Sale is to close due to the owners retiring, the building will be bulldozed if a new housing development is approved by Trafford planners.

If approved the new housing development will have 17 one and two bedroom apartments.

The developer ‘York Lodge Developments’ will though face some pressure from residents and nearby business due to the parking issues, once this new housing development is built, spaces for car parking will be very limited on site, so extra cars on Fownhope Road will be problematic.

So far though from what we know the development has only had two objections to date and we agree that more housing is badly needed in Trafford, more so one and two bedroom accommodation.

Bulldozing the current building will be controlled and should have no impact on residents that live nearby.
