Be aware it is scams awareness month

It is June and that means it is ‘Scams Awareness Month’ and Trafford trading standards are urging the public to be ‘Scam Aware’.

Has the call, letter, email or text arrived unexpectedly? Are you being asked to send money in advance or being asked for personal or financial details? Are you being asked to respond quickly or not to tell anyone what is happening? Are you being put under pressure to respond? All of the above could mean you’re being scammed
