The Pickering Lodge Park Group in Timperley managed to find funding from Manchester Airports Community Trust fund and Trafford Housing Trust social investment fund which enabled the group to install two signs for the park.

One sign celebrates and the history of our neighbourhood park, whilst the other sign introduces an educational nature trail sign featuring plants that grow here during each season of the year.

Chairperson of the Friends of Pickering Lodge Park, Will Jones said: “We were very pleased to have the signs installed at Pickering Lodge Park in August 2018 after hard work from myself with support of the parks committee to overcome various challenges. These signs provide a valuable new addition to Pickering Lodge and contribute to the continued improvement of this park for all the Timperley community to enjoy”.

The Pickering Lodge Committee would also like to thank One Trafford for working with our group to provide advice on the project and erect the signs the local Timperley Company, Natures Sign Design who manufactured these lovely signs.
