Police appeal for information as McColl’s on Stretford Road was robbed

Officers are appealing for information after a McColl’s on Stretford Road was robbed this morning (12 Feb)

At around 5.35am a man threatened a female staff member and demanded cash.

During the robbery the victim – a female in her 40s – was pushed to the floor. No one was injured but they were left understandably shaken.

The offender fled on foot with a quantity of cash.

The robber is described as black, around 5ft 10ins to 6ft, in their 30s and was wearing a navy hoody, black tracksuit bottoms and a dark coloured balaclava.
