Be on the alert for the ‘blue badge’ fake website scam

Trafford Trading Standards are alerting people about a blue badge fake website scam that could affect people here in Trafford.

The problems start when people search for “Blue Badge application forms” a pop up comes on the screen and directs you to a fake website.

The fake sites look genuine but ask for £49 payment to ‘fast track’ or process your application.

Once you have paid there is no guarantee that they will process your application and you may just lose your money.

Trafford Council charges £10 for Blue Badges and only when your application is successful.
