Cargo plane crash lands in Ukraine only yards from the runway

Antonov AN -12 cargo aircraft from Vigo in Spain to Lviv in Ukraine crashed just before the runway killing 5 people at around 4am UK time on October 4th.

It has been claimed that the aircraft ran out of fuel and somehow managed to land mostly in tact, although the cockpit detatched and was badly damaged, on board was 7 crew and 1 passenger.

The crew declared an emergency but vanished from radar only around a claimed 8m from the runway.

It is believed that the cargo was car parts and once it crashed landed managed to kill some of the people on board.

The aircraft did not suffer any fire damage although emergency services attended with foam just in case.
