A man who stabbed his brother to death at an address in Stretford has been jailed for 15 years.
A court heard that Gilvy Anderson (19/10/1962), of Davyhulme Road, Stretford, stabbed his 50-year-old brother Emile Anderson at the address at around 9.40pm on 16 April 2021.
Emergency services attended the scene and Emile was taken to hospital where he sadly died from a single stab wound to his chest.
Yesterday, Anderson was sentenced at Preston Crown Court to 15 years for manslaughter of his brother, Emile Anderson.
Detective Inspector Neil Higginson, from GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “This was a devastating and traumatic incident for the family and was a result of tensions between the two brothers.
“The trial has no doubt caused distress and upset to the family who have had to listen to the details during a trial.”
