Police recover a body from River Irwell in Salford

Police have recovered a body from the River Irwell believed to be missing fireman Daniel Lee.

Daniel aged 41 was last seen leaving Mojos on Bridge Street in Manchester in the early hours of Monday 22 August 2022, following a night out with friends and colleagues.

A body was recovered from the River Irwell in Ordsall, Salford on 25 August 2022 around 3.45pm.

Daniel was a watch manager for GMFRS (Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service) at Agecroft Fire Station.

His family and friends had tried hard to spread the message to find Daniel on social media and in local media.
