Cyclist dies following a collision with a car in Whalley Range

A cyclist has now sadly died following a Road Traffic Accident on Wilbraham Road in Manchester on Sunday 28 August 2022. Around 2.30pm, officers were called to the incident which involved a cyclist and an Audi A3 in the Whalley Range area – heading in the direction of Chorlton-cum-Hardy.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have seen the black Audi A3 around the time of the accident. Officers are appealing for witnesses, dashcam and doorbell footage that may have picked up the Audi on the road just before, during, or just after the accident.

PS Phil Shaw, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Firstly, our thoughts are with the family, who now request privacy as they try to come to terms with the loss of their loved one.
