Waste of money! One Trafford uses a gritty horrid treatment on roads in Sale

No one has any problems with One Trafford resurfacing or treating a road however when nothing was wrong with it many people may feel it was a complete waste of time and money.

We have seen this type of treatment on roads before and all it does is break up leaving loads of stones and grit to the side where cyclists will be making it unsafe for them, it will also clog up the drains causing localised puddles.

The full gritty treatment of Eastway in Sale caused much debate with residents today and many of them were baffled as to why the council has now ruined what was a perfectly good surface.

A small part of Walton Road was also treated.

The surface is now gritty with stone underneath painted in black tar and really bad for all road users more so those on cycles, this bad surface will mean more cyclists going on the pavement which is something we should be avoiding.

Other parts of Sale have been coated in the same gritty surface, part of Woodhouse Lane in Sale has also been done.

The worry is One Trafford could now be using this poor surface type in other areas which will come with it many other complaints.
