Trafford Council committed to supporting local business

Newcomers to Trafford are invited to a special business event designed to support start-ups and growing businesses.

Trafford Council and the Growth Company are delivering the event at Urmston Library on September 16, 2022, from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

The taster session will cover key elements including:

· How to turn your idea into a business

· How to research your business and what tools and resources are available

· Legal structures

· Business planning and finance

The session will provide a taster of the key elements of the Business Growth Hub’s Start Smart and Enterprising You programmes. It is aimed at Hong Kong and Ukrainian newcomers to the UK in Trafford but is open to anyone who is new to the UK business market.

Cllr Liz Patel, Trafford Council’s Executive member for Economy and Regeneration, said: “Businesses across the country have suffered a shocking time with the cost of living crisis and the Covid lockdowns.

“The Council and Executive is committed to helping all businesses in the borough to grow and prosper. This support is available to current start-ups or new businesses as well as those owned by newcomers to the borough. This is a great opportunity for all businesses to take advantage of the great help and advice on offer.”
