This afternoon (8 Sept 2022) Queen Elizabeth ll sadly passed away at Balmoral Castle she was 96.
It was earlier on in the day much of the mainstream media found it unusual for them to have been notified about the Queen’s health and for family to rush to be at her side and with others started to speculate that things are not great.
The Queen had met Boris Johnson who resigned as Prime Minister and she then met the new Prime Minister Liz Truss on the same day, pictures seen shown how frail she looked with her hands looking a darker colour (Bruising) she though was looking very cheerful.
As time elapsed through the afternoon people and media turned up outside Buckingham Palace and then the news broke that our longest serving monarch had passed away peacefully during the afternoon.
Prince Charles now King Charles has taken over as the Monarch of England and issued his tributes saying: “We mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished sovereign and a much loved mother, I know her loss will be deeply felt throughout the country, the realms and the commonwealth and by countless people around the world.”
The death of Queen Elizabeth ll has already affected some football games although the Manchester United game at Old Trafford was allowed to go ahead because it was too late to call off, the fans including those from Real Sociedad payed tribute with a one minute silence at the start of the game.
Live coverage was also affected as BT Sport removed the normal adverts and no studio guests, just one presenter and the commentators, all adverts around the ground was also removed, the fans were in mourning and this affected the atmosphere.
Premier League games for the weekend could be called off and a decision will be made tomorrow (Friday)
Queen Elizabeth had an amazing life, and did many good things for England and indeed the entire country, she flew the flag for many years and will be missed by many people of our country,
The state funeral for Queen Elizabeth ll will be in 10 days time, she will be lying in state at Westminster Hall where people will be able to see her coffin for a time.
King Charles will have little time to mourn, it will be a very busy time for him in the coming two weeks.
Going forward it is hoped King Charles will get more involved with things a little more and may have an influence on things in the political world.
Paying tributes Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham said: “On behalf of everyone in Greater Manchester, I wish to convey our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
“Queen Elizabeth II has been an ever-present in our lives. Our sense of loss is profound because she gave us all so much. As the longest reigning monarch in the history of the United Kingdom, she gave our communities and our country the greatest possible service and guidance. For that, and for her exceptional life, we give thanks.”
Bev Hughes, Deputy Mayor for Policing, Crime, Criminal Justice and Fire, said: “I would like to join the Mayor of Greater Manchester in offering my deepest condolences to all members of the Royal Family following the sad news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
“As the longest-serving female Head of State in world history, the Queen worked alongside 15 Prime Ministers and was a source of inspiration to many women working in the public sphere.
“Her dedication to and support for charitable causes has also benefitted so many of our citizens. Her Majesty acted as patron to over 600 organisations and charities – helping to raise hundreds and thousands of pounds during her reign.
“Our city-region mourns the passing of Her Majesty, while her legacy and achievements will continue to be remembered and appreciated by people here across Greater Manchester far into the future.”
Rest in Peace Queen Elizabeth ll
