Manchester United have confirmed that the upcoming game vs Leeds United has been called off due to police availability.
To ensure the safety of fans the required number of police is needed at any Premier League game and the decision to postpone this game was made by Manchester United, Greater Manchester Police and Trafford Council.
United have said that all tickets remain valid and the game vs Leeds will be rescheduled and updates will be available of when this game will be played shortly on the Manchester United website.
Although the Premier League has given the green light for football games to be played this weekend it seems the 20,000 officers recruited that Boris Johnson kept talking about is yet another lie.
Fans are very unhappy about the game being postponed simply because GMP does not have enough cover for the game to go ahead, one fan on social media summed it all up saying simply “They just want to be at the funeral.”
The game Chelsea v Liverpool has also be postponed, some good news for Manchester City fans is the game on Saturday vs Wolves is not affected.
