Man in Critical Condition after a tree falls on him in Sale

Police got reports tonight that a tree had fallen on a man this evening (6 October) after they got to the scene they decided to close off the entrance to the Bridgewater Canal tow path from Marsland Road Bridge to Sale Bridge, this cordon has since been lifted.

The huge tree fell on the individual on Osbourne Terrace.

Firefighters at the scene told us that the man is in critical condition however could not give us anymore details.

The tree was gigantic and had fallen from a small wooded area from Bridgewater Canal tow path, firefighters were seen hosing down the road and the tree, a car was also badly damaged.
