Shaftesbury Avenue in Timperley closed after a bad crash

Reports seen suggest a serious crash has happened on Shaftesbury Avenue in Timperley this afternoon, the road has been taped off whilst emergency services look after those needing treatment at the scene.

An air ambulance was also called and landed near the scene.

Park Road and Stockport Road are not affected by the crash and traffic seems to be flowing as normal, vehicles heading west or east are currently being diverted down Mainwood Road which will cause some delays.

You are asked to avoid the area until police lift the cordon.
