According to GM Roadworks Partington and Carrington residents are going to have to put up with more heavy congestion on Manchester Road for months.

Currently Electric North West (ENW) are doing essential work which will end on 2 Feb 2023 other work on Manchester Road by the ENW should have finished by mid November.

On Wednesday 19 October a APNR camera is scheduled to be installed on a street light near the railway bridge which should be completed the same day, this is expected to a GMP camera.

Further down Manchester Road more road works are planned nearer Carrington Business Park from 2 to 11 November.

On Chapel Lane in Partington from the Sports Centre to Moss Lane One Trafford are to resurface the road which starts from 19 to 31 October, Three-UK are scheduled to work on that microwave pile of junk near the Sports Centre on 25 October, it might be they will have to reschedule to repair the 5G mast.

Lots of work currently going on in Partington with BT and Virgin Media installing equipment which will take several months to complete more so for Virgin Media who are slowly giving Partington a service.

Next year even more road works are planned in Partington as land where the social club once stood will see a new housing development take shape, we expect work on the new care home and housing development in the car park opposite the doctors will start next year (if approved) which will mean road works and the loss of a car park.

In other areas of Trafford we will see a lane closure on Manchester Road at the junction of Park Road in Timperley on 21 October as Vodafone are doing some work, as no mast is present at the site this could be an installation, we will be keeping a sharp eye on this one, for motorists though expect delays.
