Trafford Centre are proud to partner with Trafford Council and Trafford Community Hubs, introducing an important festive donation scheme to the centre this Christmas.

With a core aim to help create a positive difference, to those who may need financial support, some gifting love or help in making their house feel like a home this winter with everything from winter warmers, Christmas presents, decorations and everyday essentials; Trafford Centre kindly asks visitors to join in with this initiative and offer support.

Trafford Centre is hosting a Christmas gift and essential items donation point to lighten the impact of the cost of living and energy crisis on residents of the borough, creating access to essential items of food, clothing and the things that make Christmas special.

The centre encourages visitors to work together and support local individuals, families and communities who need some extra festive cheer.

Donations can be made at the customer services desk from this week (Monday 17th October), where the hubs will coordinate and manage the distribution of all items raised through this initiative with the Trafford Centre, as they provide first-level support for residents. Members of the public can kindly donate a variety of categorised items; examples and gifting ideas below…

Week 1: Food Bank Items

Week 2: Toiletries / Baby Consumables (nappies, wipes, baby food, blankets etc)

Week 3: Warm items (hot water bottles, gloves, woolly socks etc)

Week 4: Christmas Decorations/ Christmas Crackers

Week 5: Pyjamas and slippers

Week 6: Teenagers gifts (electronics, make up sets, clothing etc)

Week 7: Gift sets/gifts for grown-ups

Week 8: Toys

Week 9 and 10: Christmas Treats (chocolates, Christmas puddings, hot chocolate, crackers etc) and all the above

Give the gift of kindness to those who need that extra support, and together we can gift a Christmas to remember…for the happiest of reasons.

Please note:

  • The last day Trafford Centre are accepting donations is Sunday 18th December to give the team at Trafford Centre, Trafford Council and Trafford Community Hubs the very best chance of sorting and distributing the kind gifts ahead of Christmas day.
  • All donations can kindly be dropped off at the Customer Service Desk located on the ground floor of the Main Dome.
  • Trafford Centre can only accept new items and not second-hand goods.
