On Thursday 24th of November at 5.30pm the Freemasons of Urmston will be hosting Christmas at The Venue on Westbourne Road in Urmston.

The event that aims to welcome Christmas to the area, will be presented by local well-known personality Wayne Devlin who will also be performing.

Joining Wayne on stage will be Urmston Musical Theatre and the school choirs of Woodhouse Primary, St Mary’s Primary, Urmston Primary, Wellacre Academy and Urmston Grammar School.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Trafford will be in attendance and one or two famous faces will be popping by to say hello!

Father Christmas himself will be taking a break from his busy schedule to attend the event and wish the community of Trafford a very happy start to the Christmas season.

As times are hard at the moment for many families across the borough and Christmas is the season of giving the Freemasons of Urmston thought it would be nice to not only make sure that every child recieve free sweets but to also give adults attending the event free mulled wine and mince pies.

Local businesses have been very generous in supporting ‘Christmas at The Venue’ and special thanks goes to Performance Works International, Market 41 – Urmston (The McGoff Group) and Goodwin-Fish Estate Agent. Without their generous support this event would not be possible.

It is hoped that the community will come together and join in the festivities and welcome Christmas to the area, showing what great community spirit we have here in the borough of Trafford.

Christmas at The Venue takes place on Thursday 24th November at 5.30pm. The bar will be open for visitors and there will also be a community raffle. Free admission and all are welcome.
