Man in hospital after being stabbed in Stretford

At around 4.30am this morning (25/10/2022) officers were called to reports of a disturbance near Meadow lodge, Stretford.

Police and other Emergency services attended, and it was established that a man in his 30’s had been stabbed. His injuries are believed to be serious, and he remains in hospital.

A man in his 20’s has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault.

A scene is currently in place at the location and the Chester Road, Barton Road roundabout is closed.

The M60 slip road has been closed anti-clockwise preventing traffic turning left onto Chester Road.

Bus services 263, 245 will be hit and people heading towards Altrincham and the other way towards Stretford should take the tram until the road is reopened.
