Five young males arrested after disturbance at Arndale Centre in Manchester

Police were called to reports of a young male armed with a knife and a large group of young males behaving in a violent and disorderly manner at the Arndale Centre in Manchester at around 5pm yesterday evening (Tuesday 25 October 2022)

GMP’s officers rapidly attended the scene and secured the local area.

Five males were arrested at the scene for violent disorder and have since been released on police bail with conditions, pending further enquiries.

No injuries were reported.

It is believed that the group originally consisted of approximately 12 young males aged between 12-16 years of age at the time of this incident.

However, the remaining suspects left the scene before officers could apprehend them.
