An investigation is underway after a motorcyclist died after he was involved in a crash with a Mercedes C250 car on Wythenshawe Road in Sale.

Police responded after getting phone calls from the public about the collision last night (October 28) and then taped off the scene whilst paramedics helped the motorcyclist.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and is helping with the investigation.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 6.45pm on Friday, October 28, to a report of a collision involving a car and a motorbike on Wythenshawe Road, Sale. The rider of the motorbike – a man aged 43 – sadly died in hospital and an investigation is underway.

“His family are aware and our specialist officers will be supporting them. The driver of the car remained at the scene and is assisting our Serious Collision Investigation Unit with their enquiries.”
